Presented to parents at Thomas Edison High School in a four part workshop series on parenting adolescents. Topics: Adolescent Development and Parent Development, Communication Triggers and the Importance of Parents Doing their own Work, Self Care and common challenges, Setting Limits while Honoring and Nurturing Identity Development.

Clincal issues with At-Risk Youth. (October 20, 2005) Friends of the Children.

Presented to professional mentors on various mental heatlh issues affecting at-risk youth including depression, aggression and oppostional behavior.

Provided consultation and training to professional mentors (FRIENDS) on supporting youth around difficult life issues and building self esteem.

Working with Kids and The Effects of Domestic Violence on Children.

Facilitated workshop at Clackamas Women’s Services/Volunteers of America’s Volunteer Training on skills for working with children affected by family violence and the effects of domestic violence/abuse on children and families.

Effects of Domestic Violence on Children. (September 6, 2001)
Gave presentation on how children are affected by family violence to childcare workers at Portland State University’s Helen Gordon Child Devlopment Center.

Clackamas Women’s Services’ Steps to Safety Fundraiser. (October 31, 2001)
Spoke to 300 prospective donors on how children and families can successfully transition out of violence when given the necessary tools and resources to heal trauma and crisis.
